Everyone has warned me that Vancouver weather starts taking a turn for the worse in September but how wrong could they be! This week’s weather has beaten the odds. Cool evenings, warm days and not a cloud in the sky so I jumped on the opportunity to explore the trails around Deep Cove.
A gentle hike starts at the end of panorama drive in deep cove which leads into to a trail that is part of the easternmost section of the Baden Powell Trail. After an hour of gentle undulating terrain, surrounded by tall Fir and Hemlock trees, we were rewarded with a splendiferous view of the Indian Arm with its surrounding fjords while watching boaters, kayakers and paddle boarders taking advantage of a rare cloudless and warm September day in the water.
