I was ecstatic when I found out my bff (and fashion icon- check out our her jet-setting fashion adventures on Tina Loves) for a quick two-day jaunt in Vancouver. We wanted to inhale as much of the city as we could given the short amount of time.
So, what’s the best way to take in this beautiful cities on a sunny spring day? By bike, of course! Vancouver, as one of the greenest city in the world, is among the first North American cities to create bikeways along residential areas and segregated bikeways along bridges – making for an accessible and safe biking experience around the city. There is simply no better way to see all of Vancouver with its beautiful harbor, snowcapped mountains, parks, and beaches than on saddle, especially on a sunny day.
We started on the edge of Denman and Georgia cruising from Coal Harbour through Stanley Park to English Bay along Beach Avenue, over the Burrard Bridge and headed to Kits Beach where we watched volleyball while lazing on the beach. Before returning over the bridge, we pulled into Granville Island for some much needed mid-afternoon grub. We had the perfect Vancouver spring day! For those who haven’t been to Vancouver, come visit me soon!!!
More on our adventures at the Capilano Bridge and Grouse Mountain in our next post. Stay tuned!
